Our Purpose

The purpose of Tamarindo Community Church is to be a witness to the gospel of Jesus Christ to people living in and traveling through Tamarindo, Costa Rica.

Worship

Join us, Lyle and Stacey Watson, on Sunday mornings at 10:00AM.  We are currently worshipping with Beach Community Church, which meets in Huacas.  Please feel free to contact us if you need directions. 

Bible Study: Tuesdays Nights @ 7:00PM

We believe that God witnesses most powerfully through Christian community.  In November of 2005, wey began hosting weekly bible studies in our home.  Since then, slowly but surely, God has been growing our group in faith and in fellowship with one another.

Cafe Cafe

In addition to the Bible Study, we have opened an arts/coffeehouse called Cafe Cafe.  We hope that Cafe Cafe will serve as an alternative way of initiating relationships with people in the community.  We anticipate that Cafe Cafe will eventually grow to be a financially self-supporting ministry. 

Ultimately, we pray that Cafe Cafe will become known as a place of community gathering and ministry.  Christians will make up the staff of Cafe Cafe, and their aim will be to care for and serve all who enter the doors in a manner that witnesses to Christ.

In addition to being an arts/coffeehouse, our vision for Cafe Cafe is that it will be a place where relationships are fostered and people are loved with the love of God.  To facilitate these relationships and embody this vision, we currently...

• Host weekly meetings for Bible Study, Prayer, Worship.

• Sell used books - offering a variety of secular and Christian novels and texts written in English (hard to come by in Tamarindo).

• Partner with local artists by dispalying their works in our venue, and selling their art on consignment.

Our future vision includes...

• Hosting special events such as concerts, poetry readings, art exhibits, etc. as an outreach

• Offer free language classed to Costa Ricans who wish to learn the English language

• Assist missions groups who come to the area with missions activities

• Offer our space to local community organizations such as AA, CEPIA, The Blue Flag Committee (local environtmental group), etc for their meetings
